Previous Student Video - Great Stuff !!

Its so wonderful! -Previous student video

This particular previous student video has enticed me due to the fact the song choice was very interesting in terms of their music video interpretation. For instant the music video was very simple but effective , it gave a sense of casualness therefore making it more enjoyable to watch and it was overpowering.

Mise en scene

Costume - The male performer only had limited change of costume. Most of the time he was wearing jeans and a top with a jacket conveying the casualness of the music video.

Props- The were not many props used. Some that were used was a pack of cards and a skateboard. This is effected as the artistic backgrounds were enough to attract attention.

Locations- There was a diverse range of locations used - 1) Rooftop, 2) Skate Park, 3) Graffiti Spot, 4) Pavement. This was attractive as the locations had artistic background which made the video come alive. For example the Skate Park was a great location as it was relevant to there music and in the background the skaters were putting on performances and showcasing stunts which immediately grabs attention of the audience.

Camera- there wasn't a variety of camera techniques used , they used many close - ups of the male performer. They also used many mid -shots. This was suitable for their video as it portrayed their simplicities of the video.

Editing - Special effects were the centre of attention in this music video , for example slow motion was used which was effective as it allowed the video to become more alive in a sense were the viewers would enjoy watching it.
