RESEARCH:Independent research (Task 3)

 The low camera angle shot gives Jessie J dominance and as though she's looking down on people and she is higher up. Also the black and white background is very effective because it brings out the colour of the album name 'DO IT LIKE A DUDE'.  The font of her name and the size is very attractive because its not very white but a kind of dirty white which is very eye catching. Her pose is as though she's looking at something that disgusts her and something/someone who's below her.

In the video the miss-en-scene is an inside warehouse where there aren't any of windows but like squared holes where light is coming through on one side of the room. There are lamps in one of the rooms she walks into like she's the boss. The costume Jessie J wears show flesh and the colours are very different from the setting. The type of people there with her are very weird as well. They all have piercings and wear at least one piece of jewellery  that's almost like their synergy through out the video. Also something that is very unusual in music videos is the studs that Jessie J has on her lips.

Through out the editing in the video what i've noticed is lighting comes across effective because there are times in the video where the background is quite dark but the lighting on her face is always balanced. Even when she's stands up the lighting on her face doesn't change. There are lots of cut-aways during the video, where it cuts from Jessie to the people around her dancing and smoking or sitting down. The pace of the actual video is fast pace and the cut-aways are as fast as the pace.

There is a variety of camera shots used that make the video very unique. One of the things are that Jessie J has a lot of close ups on her lips and her face. Close us of her lips in the dark colours of red-burgundy and black with black and silver studs. There are zoom ins of other people and then zoom outs   and blurriness which make it look like its not suppose to be like that whereas it actually makes it effective. There are lots of shots of random things such as bread on the table, someone's neck being tattooed.
